One doesn't see douche commercials on TV anymore these days; I guess that's a good thing though if no alternate product has replaced it then what happened? It doesn't seem to be an item that becomes obsolete (but what do I know).
Also of note: that dance song "The Power" by Snap! must be public domain now, for that would be the only explanation as to why it is being played all over the fucking place. What was weird about that song is that two versions, practically identical, came out at the same time by two different artists. There was Snap!'s take on it and another version by Chill Rob G. I guess that guy got screwed.

You're right about the douche commercials. When I was in high school I once organized my friends to launch into the commercial when my mom walked in from work: Mom, do you douche? So dumb.
That song was on tv last night. One Mak tried to tell me it was C+C Music Factory. I thought it was Snap!, but then I thought maybe that was part of the song title and questioned my authority on the topic. You have settled this thing that matters little in the long run.
I miss the douche commercials and the accompanying ability to call someone a douche bag.
It's just not the same calling them a stayfree maxi pad bag.
i still call people douche bags, and i feel so '80s when i do so. on a more serious note, it's probably because people are finding out that they're not good for women at all. there used to be the theory that if you used one after sex that they would prevent pregnancy but instead they just shoot that sperm up there ... and basically that's the problem with them all together. most of the problem bacteria is at the entrance, and if you use something that shoves everything up there, there's bound to be problems. do you have any visuals yet?
I've never seen any douche commercials, but I know I haven't seen any tampon commercials in a really long time.
This is a non-scientific theory, but I think they only air douche commercicals during the Price is Right.
I'd like to know the reason for this. Or maybe I wouldn't.
No one feels for Chill Rob?I can see why you'd mistake that for C+C Music Factory b/c they all sound the same.
I always assumed douching was just a rinsing kind of thing, like glorified water, but I guess that's wrong. I think it's still ok to call someone a douchebag though.
I haven't seen tampon commercials either anymore, but I haven't been watching the Price is Right either. Just some sports on TV and they only show beer ads, impotence pill commercials, & mortgage stuff. hmm...
