Brian De Palma presents "New Year's"

December 31st, new year's eve, is the most over-rated holiday out there. It's the 'Scarface' of holidays. Ball drop. Yoy. Dick Clark. Whoo. A sea of drunks and urine in Times Square. Yippee. Wake me for Arbor Day or something.

I remember last year, I "missed" the new year because I was furiously reading a book. My sister yelled at me to get out and watch the ball get dropped, but I ignored her and happily finished the book at 4 a.m.
Thanks for dropping by my new blog. I hope you find some fun on December 31st. :)

I like New Years but not in public I need it to be in the privacy of my own home or a home of a close friend because too many idiots that get plastered think its okay to drive.. but Arbor Day is what ya like I will try to remember that!

I love New Year's Eve! We go to my brother's house, where we have a bonfire, and fireworks, and very often the fireworks end up *in* the bonfire, which makes for adventurous fun. We celebrate various midnights around the world, and then drive home and go to bed about 10:00. Although you could celebrate Arbor Day similarly, if you were so inclined.

It lost its appeal for me, too. First, staying up until midnight was a novelty, then it was the norm. Now it's just a pain in the ass.

New Years is over rated unless you are somewhere fun like Vegas, spent a New Years out there a few years ago and we had a good time, other than that, it is over rated...I just look at it like a new start...new goals, let's get on with it. lol...

Happy New Year!

Hubby and I will be at a Motley Crue concert. Nothing like watching a bunch of 40+ year olds acting like my son.

True, but with his failing health and all, what New Yorker wouldn't go for a chance of the urine being from Dick Clark?

ooohhhh........too soon?
