Not for this salad, though it should be quite tasty. No, because
finally, FINALLY!, after years of waiting, I have begun to see corn-based plastics on the store shelves. I figured the oil & oil-based plastic lobbyists would never let this day come to pass. Maybe there is some hope for us after all. Plus, plant-based detergents are now easier to buy and not that expensive either! Imagine.

Does this means it's biodegradable?
You know, when I first saw this I thought the lettuce was made out of corn. Quite scary!
May oil forever lose its grip to all that's renewable.
It is classified as being "compostible" which means something like it can break down completely under certain industrial composting facility conditions of temperature & humidity. So if one tossed it on the side of the road or in a backyard compost heap, it won't break down properly.
hmmm. What other products use this? I'm intrigued.
Wow. So, if I buy corn packaged in a corn-based plastic jar, can I toss the whole thing, unopened, into a pan, sprinkle it with pepper, warm it up, and serve it to my family? Because, that's efficiency in the kitchen.
from now on, whenever i'm excited about something, i'm going to exclaim "Sweet Baby Lettuces!"
interesting
Better yet, you can throw the package into the microwave afterwards and make popcorn.
Ha ha, Sweet Baby Lettuce!
Does this mean the container's edible? I do love eating, you know.
